California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) approved programs for teachers to maintain, update, or earn credentials and add authorizations. Programs include offerings to fulfill requirements for Induction, CLAD Through CTEL, Reading & Literacy Authorization, Designated Subjects, Added Authorizations, and candidates finishing the California Clear Credential program.

 

English Learner Added Authorization (CLAD) Through CTEL

The online English Learner (CLAD) Through CTEL program is designed for candidates to earn an English Learner Added Authorization for a California Teaching or Service Credential. This program reflects standards adopted by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing for English Learners (CLAD) Through CTEL Programs. Combined CTEL exam test scores and coursework option is available.

Induction

The online Induction program is designed to provide a comprehensive two-year, individualized, job-embedded system of mentoring, support, and professional learning that begins in the teacher’s first years of teaching. This program reflects standards adopted by the CCTC for Single Subject, Multiple Subject, or Education Specialist Induction Programs.

Reading Instruction Program

The Reading and Literacy Added Authorization prepares teachers in reading and literacy using a solid curriculum that expands their basic assumptions and knowledge of reading foundations, reading assessment, reading research, reading intervention, reading strategies, and the design of effective literacy models.
